Commonly Asked Questions regarding our office and Regenerative Medicine

We are a provider network / medical facility that has many different types of services to help patients. These include physical medicine, chiropractic, rehab and massage. Our office is medically supervised.

We have three dedicated medical rooms exclusively used by the medical providers.

All injections are ultrasound guided for accuracy and precision.  This is one of the reasons why we get good results. Our highly trained providers are very precise.  In fact, our medical provider trains other providers thought the country how to perform ultrasound-guided injections, and is accredited by the AANP!  (American Association of Nurse Practitioners)

We have a very high improvement rate.  We know this because we collect data and do post-treatment evaluations.  What that means is that we see many patients get improvements.  That does not necessarily mean they get back to 100% function.  Some patients get 40-50% better which allows them to do things they haven’t been able to do in some time.  Some people report better function – they can move better with less pain. And on a pain scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest level of pain, we have patients who have gone from an 8-9 on the pain scale down to a 0-1. Some patients no longer need to use equipment to help them walk, such as a cane or a walker.

The regenerative procedure we do depends on many factors.  Based on a consultation and evaluation, our medical providers will recommend what they feel is best.  We have multiple options with regenerative medicine:

Types of regenerative medicine can be products that have growth factors, cytokines, HA, and some procedures will have all these, along with stem cells.  We have a variety of regenerative therapies including:

  • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
  • Amniotic Allograft
  • Umbilical tissue
  • Bone marrow aspirate
  • And more…

All of our medical procedures are performed in fully equipped, dedicated medical rooms.

As a disclaimer: Like all medical procedures, procedures performed at Downtown’s Healthcare have a success and failure rate. Check out our website for testimonials from our actual patients. These testimonials should not be interpreted as statements on the effectiveness of our treatments for anyone else.  We do a very thorough consultation and evaluation to determine if a person is a good candidate for care, and what type of care is best for the individual.

The regenerative field is rapidly changing, and our providers are constantly pursuing post graduate education in this field to stay on the cutting edge of this technology.

In fact, what makes DHC one of the best offices is the following:

  1. Our providers’ skill sets are the best of the best. They have completed hundreds of post graduate hours on the delivery of joint injections. In fact, Karen Rea FNP-BC teaches other MDs, NPs, and PAs throughout the country, and is accredited through the AANP (American Association of Nurse Practitioners) to deliver these courses.
  2. We always use Diagnostic Ultrasound in the delivery of joint injections for visualization and accurate placement of the regenerative treatment. In fact, a recent study showed that when Diagnostic Ultrasound was used, it resulted in a 48% reduction in procedural pain, a 42% reduction in pain scores at outcome, and a 107% increase in the responder rate.
  3. We do a very thorough consultation and evaluation to see if one is a candidate for this treatment. If a patient is a good candidate, we offer options in different regenerative treatments, and recommend the one that we feel would give the best results. This is one of the reasons for such a high improvement rate in our office.

Though this treatment does not help everyone, we have provided hundreds of treatments over the past 3 years, and by following our patients and having them do surveys, we have noted that 95% of our patients have reported some form of improvement including increased range of motion, less pain, and reduced pain scores going from an 8-9 out of 10 to a 0-3, 10 being the most pain.  We have even had 13 people cancel joint replacements.  Call today at 303-292-9992 to schedule a consultation and evaluation to see if you are a candidate.

Commonly Asked Questions regarding our office and Regenerative Medicine

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
